With Greasemonkey you need to be at mail.google.com to do this i think.
With a PHP script and webcron it could be possible to check mailbox once a day, and reemail the needed emails. So a webbased solution is possible. (You can host it at your own website or homeserver)
So it’s web based just because it’s written in PHP? :-)
Slamidtfyn, you’re proposing a script that I could run from my home computer? I think that would be ideal.
Also maybe have user settings like appending text to the subject so I know it’s a “re-email”.
Ben, good thinking with the greasemonkey, but I don’t see how javascript could send emails, or make them look newer. Do you know something I don’t? :-)
So its web based just because its written in PHP? :-)
Yeah Yeah your right, problem is i cant figure out right now how to use php_curl.dll on my WinXP workstation.
If it’s not a problem (running curl) for you I might be able to create a solution.
Will curl let you get the GMAIL tags on emails? I figured you’d need a Gmail specific library for that?
I found a library using Curl that can connect to Gmail
And I have curl+php running now!!! :-)
Any pledger’s??
Greg – the idea creator – should be pledging, at least. :-)
Hmm, I’d need this to work on Linux. I’ll pledge a little if you think you can do it.
If you have the cURL library in your php installation you should be able to run the script.
I have created a demo of the script. I have in my own gmail labeled 2 emails with “toreply” and created a script to just list these emails: Demo page
You can test the page by sending an email to slamidtfyn+toreply@$$$gmail.com (remove $$$)
I pledged $5 to kick things off. (Sorry I’m poor :-( )
To Pledgers (i.e. Gregthe1)
I have uploaded a draft version.
To use this enter your gmail account data in settings.inc and try to run the script.
I still need to resend the original email, this version only sends a email with including a link to the original email
I don’t see any downloads. Where should I look?
Hi Greg … man, you seem to be the one who gets assigned all the “downloads page debugging”. :-) There was some issue with voting not being started, but I’ve fixed that now, so you should now be able to see the file now – just click the Downloads buttons.
The download is “non-evidence”, so as a pledger you’ll just have to accept his estimate first. Slamidtfyn should probably have provided an evidence download as well, but no worries. :-)
I might have uploaded the file before i made the estimate, can this be the problem?
I have uploaded the same release one more time.
Ok, I tried the download. I marked 7 messages with toreply before running, with dates ranging from today to two months ago.
I ran it and nothing happened: $ php5 -f remailer.php
BTW, should I use php4 or php5?
On the first run it said this: Warning: fopen(./.mails): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/chiefinnovator/Desktop/remailer.zip_FILES/remailer.php on line 24
php4 or php5 should be fine,
I know there is that warning at first, but this is also only a 33% release :-)
You should now have 7 mails in your inbox with links to the original emails and also a file called .mails in /home/chiefinnovator/Desktop/remailer.zip_FILES/
I would like to adjust project progress, but I cannot move the slider

Hi slamidtfyn: “pledgers will now vote” means it’s just waiting for the 3-day voting period to finish – it’s got another day to go – or until all pledgers vote (just Greg, in this case). After that you’ll be able to make another estimate.
Why can’t i move the slider to 100% now? only 99% was possible
Hi slamidtfyn,
You’ve just been the unfortunate victim of a rounding error :-)
Thanks for being observant – we’ve fixed this bug now, so next time around, you’ll be able to drag the slider all the way up to 100%.
Just so you know, our system works in such a way so that even if you estimate < 100%, the voter(s) can still vote > 100%, resulting in a complete project if they’re especially happy with you. It seems that’s what has happened in this case.
