Update: Mini vMac no longer requests pledges. Please do not pledge to this project.
The Mini vMac emulator has been reported to compile and run fine on Maemo devices such as the Nokia N800, except that there is no way to enter text. For this project I will implement text entry for Mini vMac on Maemo, probably using the Hildon virtual keyboard. The project will be considered done when the implementation is available in a development source snapshot (on http://minivmac.sourceforge.net/develop/). It will later be included in the next official release, and Maemo will become an officially supported port. More work may be later needed to make Mini vMac better follow the conventions of the Maemo platform, which will involve future projects, not included in this one. (I won’t know exactly what is needed until I learn more about Maemo.)
This project will likely require a couple weeks of my time to complete (mostly to learn about programming for Maemo), not including the time to support it later, which is likely to be greater.

I will contribute a Nokia 800 with two 2GB cards for Paul to use for the port, which he will keep after the project
