Fail-safe attachments to e-mail
idea by blevinm
Every time you include the words attach(ed…) in an e-mail a prompt pops up if you don’t attach it!

When you include any words related to an attachment in the body of your e-mail- and you don’t, in fact, attach something a pop-up will appear before you send the e-mail asking you if you would like to attach something.
It is not invasive to the user, but simply reminds users to attach something they may have forgotten. It uses text recognition to decide when it should “pop-up” based on what is written in the e-mail body.

I’m just curious, do you want this for any email-application or only in i.e. thunderbird?
There is a Greasemonkey script for Gmail that adds this functionality: userscripts.org/scripts/show/2… . Of course, if you’re not talking about Firefox and Gmail, then this script won’t help you.
Excellent idea for various clients.
There is already a very good extension to do this for thunderbird.
What email client would you like this for?
