The need for the system is to give bands a way to fund their recordings by developing a social network of supporters that will pledge funds to enable the bands, with added support from us, to enter the recording studiio and develop marketing and distribution methods for their product.
The existing opportunities for bands are to wait around to be “discovered” by a record label. Far too hit and miss.
Each band would have an account so that they can solicit supporters through their online and socail networks. These supporters would pledge monies toward their favorite bands to use toward their goals of recording and promoting their music. This group of supporters would become “mini-record producers’ as a group. receiving merchandise and possibly monetary rewards for supporting this band and bringing them to their goal.
This would enable a band that can develop a strong following to ensure that they can produce and deliver a record and supply their supporters with a piece of the action.
