iMediaFS projects your iPhoto, iTunes and iMovie files into a Finder folder structure for easy manipulation and compatibility with other software. A logical folder structure with virtual folders for common operations like offering photos at different resolutions for sharing.
With iMediaFS running, a new drive would be made available in Finder. Opening it would show Top Level directories for Photos, Movies and Music.
Drilling into Photos, you would see folders for Events, Albums, Tags and Dates.
Drilling into Albums, you would see all Albums and within each album, photos as edited by iPhoto. Under each Album, you would also see folders labeled Original, Small, Medium and Large. Note: Small, Medium and Large would be generated (and/or cached) on the fly) as the user opens those folders.
Drilling into Events, you would see a similar structure to Albums. Same for Tags. Dates would be organized by year/month/day.
The project would likely be a merge of MACFuse and iMediaBrowser.
